[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”custom-text”]Reinterpreting an archive design in 2017, we were awarded AIT Trend 2017 at the Heimtextil fair in Frankfurt, where a jury of 25 architects, designers and journalists selected our fabric amongst 3000 exhibitors and a large number of items on display. At that time, it became clear to us that the past could be renewed in a modern key, to become an integral part of a creative and productive process.<\/p>\n

To customers and friends who come to the mill, we always tell our story through old samples, documents and anecdotes, the relationships and collaborations that have marked the long journey of the company. We are fascinated on a daily basis by the trails we encounter in doing our work. We see and touch materials that tell the stories of people who have created, produced and spread beauty through fabrics.<\/p>\n

When our designer friends from Studiocharlie put forward the idea of a book, we immediately realized how important the project was going to be, by allowing us to bring to light material that had been locked up in rooms and wardrobes, together with their knowledge and charm.<\/p>\n

We are sure that the archives will be an endless source of ideas and inspiration for future collections, and thanks to the textile DNA and human imprint within, they will allow new generations to create unique and innovative fabrics to cover the most beautiful sofas in the world.

archive consists of both fabric and hard copy documents. We began to explore the numerous archives in order to reconstruct a well-defined account, without ever losing the rich inspiration that comes from the heterogeneity of the information found.<\/p>\n

During our research it became obvious that it would not make sense to follow a chronological order. So the book does not have an index and each homogeneous group of documents speaks its own language and interprets history, past or recent, in its own way.<\/p>\n

Present-day projects and historical sections alternate constantly through the pages of the book, because only as a whole can they recount the present, in a truthful and positively complex way.<\/p>\n

Immersing yourself in the history of productive knowledge is a never ending process and a precious tool for understanding the past. This, together with new projects and constant creative work and production, contributes to the future day by day\u201d.<\/p>\n
