Creative connections with the international designers involved are at the heart of the collection. The intense dialogue with the great architects who have made the history of Italian design has always been a distinguishing feature of Torri Lana, and today with Arazzi Connections its potential is explored in a new way, through the decorative textile object par excellence: the tapestry.
Each designer has interpreted the peculiarities of the Jacquard technique in a personal way and each work realised enhances the distinctive features of its author.
The coherence of the collection is given by the preparatory work carried out by Torri Lana 1885 and Studiocharlie, who have specially selected an extensive colour chart and developed nine types of weaving, realised in the weft with a special linen frisée yarn developed in-house.
This ensures the technical feasibility of each work, with full freedom of expression of the designer.
The collection includes works by Studiocharlie, Victor Vasilev, Mikal Harrsen, Laura Cazzaniga, Zanellato/Bortotto and, premiering at Edit Napoli, Emanuela Frattini and Giovanni Hänninen.
